Titular diocese of Tricca
Tricca also Tricale (or Tricala) ( Italian : Tricala ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .
Trikala , as the city is called today, is located at the western end of the Thessalian plain in Greece . Ancient evidence says that this place is considered the home of Aesculapius , the god of medicine . The castle of Trikala is not far from the Asklepios temple, it was built on remains of the Hellenistic era in Byzantine times, to which the bishopric goes back.
