The Roman Catholic Diocese of Faro ( Latin Dioecesis Pharaonensis ; also common Diocese do Algarve ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church based in the Portuguese Faro .

The diocese was on March 30, 1577 by Pope Gregory XIII. founded. As a suffragan, it belongs to the Archdiocese of Évora .
