Konrad Klek

Konrad Klek (* 1960 in Ebingen ) is a German Protestant theologian , pastor, organist , church musician , university music director and university professor in Erlangen .

Career

After studying Protestant theology at the Kirchliche Hochschule in Bielefeld-Bethel, at the University of Tübingen , at the Evangelical Monastery of Tübingen and at the University of Munich , he continued to study church music , which Konrad Klek also completed with the A-exam in Munich . Until 1989 he worked as a vicar in Oppenweiler in the dean's office Backnang in the Evangelical Church in Württemberg as a pastor , and then in December 1989 he took up a position as district cantor in Nürtingen . In 1996 he received his doctorate (Dr. theol.) At the University of Hamburg .

Klek is the father of the chess player Hanna Marie Klek .

From 1994 Klek worked as a lecturer for artistic and liturgical organ playing at the University for Church Music in Esslingen, the current Evangelical University for Church Music in Tübingen.

Since the summer semester of 1999, Klek has been teaching church music at the Philosophical Faculty and Department of Theology at the University of Erlangen . This task is connected with the office of a university music director .

Klek was President of the International Herzogenberg Society in Heiden (Switzerland), which was dedicated to researching the works of Heinrich von Herzogenberg and which was dissolved in 2017.

Since 2019 he has been working for the spiritual accompaniment in the honorary office of the Ephorus in the theological study home Werner-Elert.
