Erich Konstantin Reymaier (born May 8, 1967 ) is an Austrian composer , organist and Roman Catholic priest .

Life

Reymaier completed a music degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna , in particular he studied the organ first with Rudolf Scholz and Alfred Mitterhofer . He also completed a degree in theology at the University of Vienna . In 1992 he obtained a concert diploma in the subject organ with unanimous distinction. In 1991 Reymaier won a prize at the international composition competition as part of the European Church Music Festival in Schwäbisch Gmünd . Concert tours have taken him through Europe, North America and the Middle East.

From 1997 to 2001 Reymaier served as music director at Mansfield College of Oxford University worked and taught at Cambridge University . Then he was university professor for organ and improvisation at the University of Art in Graz until 2005 , before entering the Vienna seminary . He was ordained priest in 2009.

Currently he is cathedral curate , head of the department for church music of the Archdiocese of Vienna and a member of the archbishop's cur. At times until 2019 he was also an economist.
