Konstantin Valerjewitsch Tschernyschow ( Russian Константин Валерьевич Чернышов ; at the World Chess Federation FIDE Konstantin Chernyshov; born June 11, 1967 in Voronezh ) is a Russian chess grandmaster .

Career

The basic rules of chess were taught to him by his father when he was four years old. Since his parents were responsible for putting chemical production plants into operation, the family often had to move. As a child he spent some time in Naberezhnye Chelny and Angarsk . With twelve years he won the Junior Championship of Siberia and the Far East and later in the Petrosian added -Schachschule. His trainer at the time was Alexander Nikitin , who was best known for his long-term collaboration with Garry Kasparov . He prematurely broke off studying Romano-Germanic philology at the Voronezh State University .

In 1993 he was named International Master by the World Chess Federation and in 2000 Grand Master. During his playing career, Chernyshev took part in numerous open tournaments, including in Olomouc , Pardubice , Zalakaros , Cappelle-la-Grande and Voronezh. At the XXIV. Cappelle-la-Grande Open in 2008 he shared 1st - 8th place with 7 points from 9 games. Probably his greatest success was at the Moscow Open 2010. Placed in 46th place in the starting list, he was also able to secure first place in the table with 7 points from 9 games and an Elo performance of 2726.

In the same year he won the championship of the Central Federal District in Gagarin and the Volga Cup in Kostroma . At the Russian individual championship in 2001 in Elista , Tschernyschow shared 4th - 20th place. He played club chess in the Czech Extraliga from 1999 to 2001 for Holdia Praha , with whom he was Czech team champion in 2001 , and in the 2001/02 season for Infinity Pardubice , in the Russian team championship Russia in 1999 and 2000 for the region chess club and in 2005 for Krasny Oktyabr (both from Voronezh).

Tschernyschow works as a youth coach. Among his students is WGM Yevgenia Meshcheryakova , who won the Russian U-16 championship in 2001. He is an office member of the KPRF Committee of Voronezh Oblast and head of the chess column in the communist newspaper Pravda .
