Constanze Caradonna

Konstanze Caradonna (* 1968 in Berlin as Konstanze Beckelmann ) is a German - Swiss singer , musician and comedian . She sings in three languages: German, Bern German and English.

Life

After Konstanze Caradonna spent her youth as a drummer in various bands, she began her artistic training at the Swiss theater Madame Bissegger, where she learned clowning and directing. In Greece she trained Mirka Yemendzakis in singing. She received yodelling lessons from Marie-Therese von Gunten from Switzerland . She then formed a part of the seven-piece "Common Sense Orchestra" together with Andreas Pröhl ( Mon Dyh ) as a saxophonist and singer and published a record and a CD.

From 1994 to 1999 she was a member of the a cappella group Aquabella , which was musically close to world music . With this group she accompanied Gerhard Schöne in the preliminary program of his Klabüster-Klabuster-Tour. The band released several albums and received the German Folk Award (today: RUTH ). The collaboration with Gerhard Schöne resulted in the collaborations Klabüster Klabuster and Alligators in the sewer system . With Ben Gash , Tom Schneider and Torsten Sense , Konstanze Caradonna formed the group "bend" as a singer, with which she also released a CD under the same title, which can be classified more in the alternative rock category. Konstanze Caradonna gave her voice to the soundtrack for the award-winning film " Three Chinese with the Double Bass " by Klaus Krämer.

As a musician and comedian, she appears at street artist festivals in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. For example at the Linzer Pflasterspektakel and the circus festival in Western Australia . As a director, she is in charge of the men's ensemble “Vox Orange”. Konstanze Caradonna is known as a comedian and musician under the name La Constanza or La Mulidilettantista. She also appears as a strange waitress Käthy.

Konstanze Caradonna is married to the artist Toni Caradonna and now lives in Switzerland. She is the daughter of Christine and Jürgen Beckelmann .
