The Korn family was a Wroclaw family of publishers, booksellers and printers founded by Johann Jakob Korn in the 18th and 20th centuries. Their companies published, among other things, publications that were mainly intended for Eastern European countries, especially Poland. Wilhelm Gottlieb Korn , published Polish textbooks and founded bookshops in Warsaw , Lemberg and Poznan in what was then Poland-Lithuania . He was a book supplier for King Stanislaus II and the University of Vilnius .

Heinrich von Korn's coat of arms is as follows:

Korn's family motto was "CANDIDE ET CAUTE" (Sincere and Careful); This inscription appears on the portal of the palace in Pawlowitz and on the ruins of the palace in Schönfeld.

Castles

Pawelwitz Castle

In the Hundsfeld area , Heinrich von Korn acquired Pawelwitz Castle in 1891 (today it houses the supraregional agricultural congress center in Pawlowitz, Wroclaw University of Natural Sciences , in 1996 it was included in the monument register). In 1867 Heinrich von Korn acquired another castle in Lower Silesia , in Schönfeld. Pawelwitz came to his daughter Marie von Schweinichen, nee. of grain.
