The Kothener Bach is a left tributary of the Wupper in the Barmen district of the North Rhine-Westphalian city ​​of Wuppertal .

Location and topography

The Kothener Bach rises at 304 meters above sea level. NN on Oberen Lichtenplatzer Strasse near the Toelleturm in the Lichtenplatz residential area . It flows north through the Kothener Busch forest area , receives its inflow from the Lichtenplatzer Bach and the Vöpelssiefen and flows in two branches, partly renatured above ground, partly piped to the residential development of the Kothen residential area in the valley of the Wuppertal.
