from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Koumassa style is a ceramic style from the middle pre-palace period (around 2800 BC to 2300 BC ) from the Cretan-Minoan culture . It forms the conclusion of the Agios Onouphrios style .

The hallmarks of the Koumassa style are abstract linear motifs. A mug, bowl or (tea) pot in Koumassa style has a sanded light gray surface and is painted in black or red with diagonals, dots, circles and semicircles.
