The mountain is located just north of the Mikulov city center. The Jewish cemetery extends on its northern slope, to the west is the Jewish mourning hall .
To the north rise the Čertův kámen and the Turold (385 m nm), in the east the Janičův vrch ( Marienberg ), southeast the Svatý kopeček ( Holy Mountain , 363 m nm), in the south the Olivetská hora and northwest the Růžový kopec ( Rosenberg , 298 m nm) and the Kunold (298 m nm)
history
Since the Middle Ages, the trade route from Vienna to Brno has led through the plain west of the mountain ; because of the bend in the road it used to be called Knieberg . The ruins of the Gaisburg , built in the 15th century, now serve as a lookout tower. The mountain was transformed into a freely accessible urban quiet center. From Kozí vrch you have a good view of the city and the Mikulov Castle and the surrounding mountains.
