Krüdersheide is a district of Langenfeld . Politically, a smaller area belongs to Solingen .

geology

The place is on the northeastern edge of Wiescheid , in Langenfeld (Rhineland), directly on the city limits to Solingen and east of the A3 . The Langenfeld-Solingen city border separates the Oberste Krüdersheide in such a way that four residential buildings with their outbuildings are located in the Solingen city area, a result of the Napoleonic reorganization of the community.

etymology

The etymological meaning of the field name Krüdersheide has not been conclusively clarified. However, there is much to suggest that the word Krüder could mean herbs . The Krüder is a grocer , pharmacist , herb collector .

history

The first written mention of the place was in 1488 as Krudersbergh. It was not until 1816 that the Krüdersheide was referred to as a peasantry , which had 50 inhabitants. The census of the district of Solingen on December 1, 1875 under Mayor's Office Richrath showed 15 residential buildings for the residential area Krüdersheide, 4 residential buildings uninhabitable and 16 households.

In the original cadastre of the Wiescheid community, Hall VIII Kreudersheide, from 1829, differentiation was probably made for the first time; in the "Oberste Kreudersheide", the "Mittelste Kreudersheide" and the "Unterste Kreudersheide". There are three farms , which roughly form a right-angled triangle, with distances as the crow flies of approx. 300 m (middle - to lower Krüdersheide) and approx. 500 m (uppermost - to lower Krüdersheide).

education

All school-age children in Krüdersheide, including those from the Solingen side, have always attended the Wiescheider Catholic and Protestant school, and later the Parkstrasse elementary school. Only since 2008 have parents been able to freely choose which elementary school to enroll their children in.
