The Rijnmond power plant is a combined cycle power plant with a total output of 1,248  MW in two blocks. It is located in the Rotterdam petroleum port near Pernis . The power plant was built by the American company InterGen .

At the end of 2015, Maasstrom Energie, the operator of the first block, went bankrupt due to unprofitability. In 2016, the mothballed Block I was acquired by GSO Capital .
