The Krambach is an almost two-kilometer-long left tributary of the Krümmelbach in Rhineland-Palatinate .
course
The Krambach rises on the city boundary of Wirges in a swamp area between Leuterod in the north and the city. It flows in mostly south to south-east direction, initially between the mountains Steimel ( 333.2 m above sea level ) on the right and Hölzberg ( 322.7 m above sea level ) on the left. Later it crosses under the Kannenbäckerstraße (L 300) from Moschheim to Wirges and flows into a floodplain on the city limits of Wirges to the local community Staudt from the left into the Krümmelbach, at the same point as the Schwarzbach , which comes from a more westerly direction.
Data and water quality
The Krambach is on average about one to one and a half meters wide, its catchment area is about 2.3 km².
The stream is heavily polluted by the clayey soil, as well as because of the nearby clay pits compared to the Schwarzbach and Krümmelbach .
