Krassimir Monow ( Bulgarian Красимир Монов ; born July 22, 1983 ) is a former Bulgarian ice hockey player who last played until 2015 at HK CSKA Sofia in the Bulgarian ice hockey league. After his active time he worked as a coach and has been working for the Bulgarian women 's ice hockey team since 2017 .

Career

Krassimir Monow began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of HK Slavia Sofia . In the mid-2000s he played for HK Levski Sofia , with whom he became Bulgarian runner-up in 2007. Since 2011 he has been playing for local rivals HK CSKA Sofia , for whom he played in the Bulgarian ice hockey league until 2015 . With ZSKA, he won the championship and national cup double in 2013 and 2014 .

International

In the junior division, Monow played at the U18 World Championships in 2000 in European Division II and 2001 in Division III and at the U20 World Cup in 2002 in Division III.

With the Bulgarian men's national team , Monov took part for the first time a dozen years after his last assignment as a junior in the World Cup in Division III in 2014 , when the team from the Balkans managed to move up to Division II.

Trainer

After his active career, Monow worked as a coach and has been working for the Bulgarian women 's ice hockey team since 2017 .
