The Krause Point is a low and icy headland on the coast of the East Antarctic Kaiser Wilhelm II Land . It is halfway between Cape Torson and Cape Filchner .
Aerial photographs of the US American Operation Highjump (1946–1947) were used to map them. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the headland in 1955 after the photogrammetrist Glenn R. Krause (* 1909), who was involved in Operation Windmill (1947-1948) as a geodesist for the establishment of astronomical observation stations along this stretch of coast as well as the Budd and Knox coasts was involved.
