The centrifugal Electric GmbH & Co KG , based in Rainbach im Mühlkreis offers products in the field of electrification. The company was founded by three brothers in 2014 and has been dealing with the topics of e-mobility , battery systems, charging infrastructure and stationary storage systems ever since .

The company Kreisel Electric began with hobby conversions of individual vehicles. The three brothers Johann, Markus and Philipp Kreisel, founders of the company, dismantled an Audi A2 in 2014 and converted it to their battery technology. The vehicle had an electric range of 100 kilometers, but it weighed too much. The brothers' next project was the conversion of a Porsche 911 . After half a year of work, it had a motor output of 180 kW and a battery capacity of 65 kWh, which corresponds to an approximate range of 400 km. At 1550 kg, the vehicle weighed less than the original.
In May 2016, the Austrians announced the construction of a first factory for their own battery production with a capacity of 800,000 kilowatt hours. The new 7000 m² head office was officially opened on September 19, 2017. In addition to a prototype workshop, it includes a fully automated production line for battery storage units for equipping small series of cars, trucks, buses, boats or aircraft as well as storage solutions. There is a collaboration with the Swiss solar aircraft project SolarStratos .
In September 2017 it was announced that Patrick Knapp-Schwarzenegger (nephew of the former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger ) together with a group of strategic partners with the US company Clean Machine Inc. had acquired a 15 percent stake in the company.
Products
The main product of Kreisel Electric is a battery cell intended for the automotive industry for use in electric or hybrid vehicles , which is notable for its low weight and high capacity. Similar to the automobile manufacturer Tesla Motors , gyroscopes use small round cells that are connected by laser .
Under the brand name Mavero, the company also develops battery cells for energy storage for private use (home storage). This can be used to store energy from solar panels , for example .
