|
Krentrup was an independent municipality and is now a district in the northeast of the municipality of Leopoldshöhe in the Lippe district . It borders the city of Lage in the east and the city of Bad Salzuflen in the north.
geography
Krentrup is located in the Ravensberg hill country and consists mainly of agricultural land.
In addition, the farmers' associations Krentruperhagen and Heipke belong to the district.
history
Krentrup was mentioned in a document in 1289.
In addition to the agricultural farms, the “Zur Recreation” inn was built around 1900 at the intersection of two state roads (L751 / L968).
On September 1, 1921, the municipality of Krentrup was newly formed from part of the municipality of Hovedissen . As part of the community reform, the place was incorporated into the newly formed community Leopoldshöhe on January 1, 1969.
In 1988, at the lowest point of the community, in Heipke an der Werre , the community's first central sewage treatment plant was built, with the third purification stage, the most advanced in Lippe at the time. The sewage treatment plant connects directly to the mouth of the Heipker Bach to the north, which together with a quarry pond forms the Heipker See nature reserve .
