Krishnapur ( Nepali कृष्णपुर ) is a city ( municipality ) in the western Terai of Nepal in the Kanchanpur district .

Krishnapur is located in the east of the district on the Mahendra Rajmarg highway . The Village Development Committee (VDC) Krishnapur was granted city rights in September 2015.

Residents

At the 2011 census, Krishnapur had 36,706 inhabitants (17,552 of them male) in 6723 households.
