Punarwas ( Nepali पुनर्वास Punarwas ) is a city ( municipality ) in the western Terai of Nepal in the Kanchanpur district .

The city was created in 2014 by merging the Village Development Committees Kalika , Parasan and Tribhuvanbasti . The urban area covers 83.2 km².

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDCs from which the city of Punarwas emerged had 43,996 inhabitants (20,386 of them male) in 8135 households.
