Krista Keller
Krista Keller , also Christa Keller (born April 16, 1931 in Hindenburg , † October 8, 1988 in Munich ) was a German actress and theater director .
Life
Keller became known in 1958 when she was successful at the Münchner Kammerspiele as Anne Frank in the theater version of The Diary of Anne Frank . She also played Molly in Frank Wedekind's The Marquis of Keith at the Kammerspiele . She gave guest appearances such as 1964 as the title character in Jean Giraudoux ' Undine at the Residenztheater in Munich, 1965 as Lady Milford in Kabale und Liebe at the Münchner Kammerspiele, 1966 as Helena in Die Troerinnen at the Thalia Theater Hamburg , 1968 as Antoinette in Biographie: Ein Spiel an the Münchner Kammerspiele, 1969 as Queen in Don Carlos at the Deutsches Theater in Munich . In 1969 she was seen as Marie Beaumarchais in Fritz Kortner's staging of Goethe's Clavigo at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg , in 1971 as Elektra in Eugene O'Neill's Mourning Electra Must Wear at the Bad Hersfeld Festival and in 1973 as Queen of the Night in Thomas Bernhard's Der Ignorant und der Crazy at the Münchner Kammerspiele.
On September 26, 1959, she married the Sicilian prince Rosso di Cerami and has since held the title Principessa. Their son Don Giovanni Kristian was born on August 9, 1960 in Lugano and died just under three months later, on October 27, in Bern .
Keller's husband died on December 9, 1972, after which the actress settled in London . She continued to take on roles in television films on German television. In 1979 she staged Büchner's Leonce and Lena in the Munich off-off theater .
Krista Keller died at the age of 57 and was buried in the family grave on the Cimiterio comunale in Taormina , Sicily .
