Kristian Forsberg (last name [ fɔʂbærj ], born May 5, 1986 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Stavanger Oilers in the GET-ligaen since June 2014 .

Career

Kristian Forsberg began his career as an ice hockey player in the junior division of Furuset Ishockey , for whose first team he was active in the second-class 1st division from 2003 to 2005. In the following four years, the attacker ran for the first division team Storhamar Dragons in the GET-ligaen and became Norwegian champions for the first time with the team in the 2007/08 season . The right-handed shooter contributed to this success in 58 games with nine goals and 19 assists. After another season, the national player left the Dragons and signed a contract with MODO Hockey from the Swedish Elitserien for the 2009/10 season .

In 2014 he returned to Norway and was signed by the Stavanger Oilers .

International

For Norway Forsberg took at junior level at the Junior World Championship U18 2004 and the U20 Junior B World Cup 2005 and the U20 Junior Weltmeisterschaft2 2006 part. In the senior sector, he competed for Norway at the A World Championships in 2007 , 2008 , 2009 , 2010 and 2011 . He was also in his country's squad at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and at the qualifying tournament for them.
