Krzysztof Kłosiński

Krzysztof Kłosiński (born March 21, 1951 in Kraków ) is a Polish literary historian , literary critic and translator . In his scientific research he mainly deals with the works of Roman Jaworski and Eliza Orzeszkowa .

Life

From 1964 to 1968 Kłosiński attended high school in Kraków . After graduating from high school in 1968, he studied Polish studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, where he obtained his master's degree in 1973 . After completing his studies, he was employed as an assistant at the Institute for Polish Culture and Literature at the Silesian University in Katowice . In 1975 he made his debut as a literary critic with the essay Problematyka czasu w powieści historycznej XIX wieku , which was published in the journal Pamiętnik Literacki . In 1977 he married Krystyna Kłosińska . In 1982 he received his doctorate with the work Proza Romana Jaworskiego na tle przemian 1910–1925 at the Silesian University. In 1991 he completed his habilitation there with the thesis Mimesis w chłopskich powieściach Orzeszkowej . In 1995 he directed a classical music program on the Silesian radio station Top . Since 2002 he has been a professor at the University of Silesia. From 2004 to 2009 he directed the weekly program Wydanie drugie poprawione on TVN with Kazimiera Szczuka . From 2005 to 2013 he gave seminars at the in Warsaw . In 2007 he took over the chairmanship of the Komitet Nauk o Literaturze of the Polish Academy of Sciences . Since 2008 he has been a member of the Broadcasting Council of Polskie Radio Katowice . From 2008 to 2016 he was the director of the Institute of Polish Literature at the Silesian University.

He lives in Sosnowiec .
