Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi ( Hindi : कुछ खट्टी कुछ मीठी, kuch khaṭṭī kuch mīṭhī ; translated: sometimes sour, sometimes sweet ) is a 2001 Hindi film by Rahul Rawail . It is a remake of The Wedding Announcement ( 1961), which in turn is based on Erich Kästner's children 's novel Das doppelte Lottchen .
action
Tina and Sweety Khanna are identical twins who were separated when they were born. This is due to her aunt Devyani, who tore the family apart to get the fortune from her brother Raj.
One, Tina, lives with her mother in London , while Sweety grew up with her alcoholic father in India . Both twin sisters believe the other has died. The aunt served up these lies to her parents.
Tina and Sweety are all the more surprised when they face each other in London. They devise a plan to reunite the family: while Sweety stays with her mother, Tina travels to India to see her father.
Tina helps Raj get away from alcohol and falls in love with Sameer, whom she met in Glasgow . Now both try to scare away the angry aunt and her assistants.
The twins also reveal their true identity, so that Sweety and Archana travel to India. Now, all under one roof, all the misunderstandings are cleared up and Raj throws his sister out of the house himself.
