Kuhlerbusch
Kuhlerbusch is a district in the Gronau district of Bergisch Gladbach .
history
In the original cadastre , the former name of the gully is recorded as Kuhler Busch . The settlement name Kuhle is etymologically derived from the Middle High German kûle (= pit) and refers to an artificially created depression in the ground from which ores, sand, gravel or clay are extracted. A bush is a small forest or copse. In the present case, the field name denotes a piece of forest in which pits for lime extraction had been dug since the 15th century. In the second half of the 20th century, the remains of an old lime kiln could be seen here, which have since been built over.
Today, in addition to various residential buildings, there are a number of different businesses.
