Eulenburg was a district in what is now the Gronau district of the city of Bergisch Gladbach in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .

Location and description

Eulenburg was west of the Cologne-Mülheim – Lindlar railway line south of the current zinc smelter . Nothing is left of the original development. Today's streets and buildings were created later.

history

The place is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 as Eulenburg on the connecting road between Braken and Schlodderdich in the Schluchter Heide . To the north-east lies the town of Heide, to the west the Große Weiher . The place can no longer be made out on later maps from 1844 onwards. The Hasselbach , which fed the Deutzer Weiher , flowed south of the village .
