Schluchterheide

Schluchterheide is a district in the Gronau district of Bergisch Gladbach .

history

Originally, the name Schluchterheide was transferred from the name Schluchter Wald to the original cadastre . The changed basic word heather is reminiscent of the former gorse , heather and bush vegetation of this area. The determining word Schluchter derived from the MHG sluche from (= ditch, Glen) and referred to in field names , among other things an uneven, interspersed with indentations, pits and ponds terrain.
