Kuleschowka ( Russian Кулешо́вка ) is a village (selo) in Rostov Oblast in Russia with 13,692 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

geography

The place is about 20 km in a straight line southwest of the Oblastverwaltungszentrums Rostov-on-Don in left (south) edge of the flood plain of the Don , about 6 km from the river and some 20 km from its mouth in the Sea of Azov removed.

Kuleschowka belongs to the Asowski Rajon and is located about 10 km east-southeast of its administrative center Azow . The village is the seat of the rural community Kuleschowskoje selskoje posselenije, to which also the settlement Timirjasewski (6 km southeast) belongs.

history

The previously small, agricultural village grew considerably with the construction of a large factory for baby food and prefabricated buildings from the late 1970s, but always retained its status as a village.

Kuleschowka is on the regional road 60K-56 (formerly part of the R268), which connects Rostov and Azov.

The village has a train station (station name Kuleschowski, route kilometer 19) on the Bataisk  - Azov railway line, built in 1911 and electrified since 1966 .
