The Kulpawn (spelling also Kulpaw and Kulpwan ) is a river in northern Ghana in the Upper West Region .
course
The Kulpawn rises near the border with Burkina Faso . Initially, the Kulpawn flows in a southeastern direction until it reaches the border between the Upper West Region and the Northern Region . Here it bends to the northeast and forms the border to the famous Mole National Park . After it feeds a small lake in the Mole National Park, it flows as a feeder directly into the White Volta and under this name finally into the Volta Lake near the city of Yapei .
Near its mouth, it forms the southwestern border of the Gbele wildlife reserve . In the dry season, the kulpawn does not have constant water.
Other tributaries of the White Volta are the Rote Volta and the Nasia .
