Culture Prize of the State Capital Wiesbaden
The state capital Wiesbaden has been awarding the state capital Wiesbaden's culture prize for the promotion of culture since 1981 , whereby both individuals and initiatives are considered that have made a contribution to Wiesbaden's cultural life.

The prize is awarded for achievements in the fields of visual arts , music , literature , historical research, and the performing arts . The prize is endowed with 5000 euros.
Award
A jury made up of the head of the municipal department for culture (chair) and one member each from the parliamentary groups of the city council and the head of the cultural office decide on the award . The award is given by the mayor or a representative of the magistrate.
