Art and Natural History Chamber of the Francke Foundations

The art and natural history chamber in the Francke Foundations in Halle (Saale) is the oldest civic museum space in Germany. It was created at the beginning of the 18th century by August Hermann Francke for teaching purposes. 18 ornate cabinets collection of Baroque Wunderkammer today involve about 3,000 natural history, curiosities and ethnographic objects.
