from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kuppiger Solling is the name for a natural spatial unit that counts as No. 370.1 to the main unit 370 Solling, Bramwald and Reinhardswald .

The Kuppige Solling connects to the south of the Kern- Solling (= natural area 370.0 “Northern Solling”) and forms a ring around the Uslar basin (370.2) near Uslar . To the southwest it separates the Weserdurchbruchstal (370.3) of the Weser from Reinhardswald (370.4), to south closes Bramwald (370.5) that from the him Nieme separates. To the southeast it borders the (southern) Solling foreland .

Its eastern part, which makes up the greater part of the area, lies within the city triangle of Uslar, Hardegsen and Adelebsen in the Northeim district . It is forested except in the vicinity of the agriculturally used settlement. The highest mountain is the Stehbergskopf. Kiffing, which belongs to the district of Kassel ( Hessen ), is also located here.

The northernmost tip of the area belongs to the Solling-Vogler Nature Park , the southernmost tip of the area belongs to the Münden Nature Park .

There is also a special role with regard to drainage: it takes place through the Schwülme to the Weser, while the rest of the Solling is drained to the Leine .
