Kurt Hamer

Kurt Hamer (born April 24, 1926 in Neumünster ; † January 3, 1991 in Nortorf ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1975 to 1987 he was the first vice-president of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament.

Life and work

After primary school , Hamer attended a teacher training institute, where he completed a pedagogical course. He then worked from 1948 to 1957 as a teacher at an elementary school. Since 1957 he has been teaching at a secondary school .

Kurt Hamer was married and had three children.

Political party

Hamer joined the SPD in 1959 and was a member of the board of the SPD district association Rendsburg and Rendsburg-Eckernförde from 1962 to 1976 . From 1970 to 1976 he was finally chairman of the district association and from 1969 to 1975 also belonged to the SPD state executive in Schleswig-Holstein . Most recently, from 1987 onwards, Hamer was treasurer of the SPD regional association Schleswig-Holstein.

From 1959 to 1982 he belonged to the city council of Nortorf and from 1964 to 1974 to the district council of the Rendsburg district and from 1970 of the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district.

From 1967 to 1987 Hamer was a member of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein . There he was deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group from 1971 to 1983, deputy chairman of the committee for safeguarding the rights of the people's representation from 1975 to 1979 and deputy chairman of the finance committee from 1975 to 1983. On May 26, 1975 he was elected First Vice-President of the State Parliament and confirmed in office in 1979 and 1983 respectively.

Kurt Hamer is always on the national list drawn into the parliament.

Public offices

From 1988 until his death, Hamer was the border region commissioner for the state of Schleswig-Holstein.
