Kurt Mischke
Kurt Mischke (born March 28, 1937 in Berlin ; † May 24, 2009 there ) was the most successful German motorboat racing driver . The trained bricklayer foreman drove motorboat races from 1958 to 1978, mostly in the 350 cm³ outboard racing boat class.
In 1973, Mischke co-founded the Berlin Motorboat Racing Boat Club . After his career, he ran a sports trophy shop in Berlin. He had a daughter with his wife Linda. Anja Mischke (born April 29, 1967 in Berlin ) did not get into motorboat racing, but became a speed skater. At the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , she finished 12th over 3,000 meters and 16th over 1,500 meters.
