Kurt Wegner

Kurt Wegner (born August 27, 1908 in Cologne-Kalk , Germany; † September 16, 1985 in Järna , Sweden ) was a German artist. He works in Sweden from 1938.

Life

His parents were the photographer Frida Wegner (née Münkel) from Schwerte (Ruhr) and the engineer Ernst Wegner from Wolgast ( Pomerania ). Kurt Wegner studied with Richard Seewald at the Cologne factory schools in the 1920s .

Kurt Wegner was a member of the Nerother Wandervogel . He went on long hikes with his friends and began taking photos, drawing and painting.
