Kyle Donovan Weaver (born February 18, 1986 in Beloit , Wisconsin ) is an American basketball player in the shooting guard position . Since 2018 he has been playing for Neptūnas Klaipėda in Lietuvos krepšinio lyga .
career
After spending 4 years at Washington State University , he moved to Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA in 2008 . There he played an average of 20 minutes per game until he suffered a shoulder injury in 2010. He moved to the Belgian club Spirou Charleroi . After the playoffs in 2011 he signed a contract with ALBA Berlin , where he played until summer 2012.
After running up in the NBA Summer League in the summer of 2012 , Weaver received a provisional contract with the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA , but was removed from the roster before the start of the season. He then signed a contract with the Austin Toros in the NBA D-League . In the spring of 2013 Weaver moved within the league to the Canton Charge .
For the 2013/2014 season Weaver returned to Europe and joined the Club Napoli Basket from the Italian second division. After stops in Puerto Rico, Poland and Greece, he returned to the Bundesliga in Germany at the beginning of 2018, where he joined Science City Jena . After the end of the 2017/18 season , he moved to Lithuania to join Neptūnas Klaipėda .
