Dynasty settlement
The Kynastiedlung is a district of Meißen in Saxony .
The small settlement was built according to plan between 1932 and 1934. It is located along the streets Friedrich-Geyer-Straße, Neue Hope, Unverhofft Glück, Grüner Weg and Hohe Sicht in the west of the large district town. Neighboring to the north is the monastery property , northeast Obermeisa , east the Jüdenberg on the edge of Meißner old town , southeast the Rauenthal and Questenberg and south Korbitz . Schletta and Niederjahna border to the southwest and northwest, both of which belong to the municipality of Käbschützal .
The name of the settlement is derived from the Kynast estate , an old three-sided farm with a manor house , which is a few 100 meters west of it. It bears its name after a Meißner mayor Kynast, who bought it in 1543 and comes from the same councilor family as the namesake of the Kynast winery in nearby Radebeul .
After the Meißner Gut Kynast, the Kynastweg, the most important street in the area of the settlement, bears his name. Until the Meißen bypass was cleared in spring 2007, the 101 federal road ran here on its way from the Meisatal up towards Nossen . Today the traffic route leads from the Neue Elbbrücke through the Schottenberg tunnel and under the colloquial name "Kynast-Spange" directly past the old estate to Korbitz. The relocation brought significant traffic calming for the settlement, which is connected to Meißen- Triebischtal via Rauhentalstrasse .
