Kyōgo Furuhashi ( Japanese 古橋 亨 梧 , Furuhashi Kyōgo ; born January 20, 1995 in Ikoma , Nara Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Kyōgo Furuhashi learned to play football in the youth teams of Sakuragaoka FC and Aspergas Ikoma FC and in school teams at Kokoku High School and Chūō University . In February 2017 he signed his first professional contract with FC Gifu . The club from Gifu , the capital of Gifu Prefecture , played in the country's second division, the J2 League . By 2018 he had played 68 second division games and scored 18 goals. In August 2018 he moved to Vissel Kobe in Kobe . The club played in the first division, the J1 League . In 2019 he won the Kaiser Cup with the club . In the final they beat the Kashima Antlers 2-0. At the beginning of 2020 he won the Supercup with Vissel . Against the Japanese champions of 2019, the Yokohama F. Marinos , they won 6-5 on penalties.

Kyōgo Furuhashi has been playing for the national team of Japan since 2019 . He made his international debut on November 19, 2019 in a friendly against Venezola at the Suita City Football Stadium in Suita .
