Längelmävesi is a lake in the landscape Pirkanmaa in southwestern Finland .

The lake has an area of ​​133.04 km² and is at an altitude of 84.2 m. Lake Längelmävesi lies within the municipal boundaries of Jämsä (formerly Längelmäki ), Kangasala (formerly Sahalahti ), Kuhmalahti and Orivesi .

The Längelmävesi lies in the catchment area of the Kokemäenjoki . It is part of a chain of lakes ( Längelmäveden reitti ) which, in addition to the Längelmävesi, also includes the Vesijärvi , Roine , Pälkänevesi and Mallasvesi lakes . The chain of lakes is drained at Valkeakoski to the deeper lake Vanajavesi .
