A. high mountain in the western Stubai Alps in Tyrol and lies between the Bachfallenferner in the west and the Längentaler Ferner in the east. Climbs

The easiest ascent is from the Westfalenhaus to the north through the Längental towards the Längentaler Joch . On the Längentaler Ferner just below the yoke, turn south-west over the firn slope into the saddle of the north ridge, from there just over the rocky ridge to the summit ( I ). In winter this path is also a popular ski tour .

There are other more difficult ascent options from the Winnebachseehütte over the Bachfallenferner and the west flank, as well as from the Amberger Hütte over the Gaislehnscharte and the southwest ridge. The path the first to climb, from the Längentaler Joch over the east ridge, is very brittle and therefore not recommended.
