The Winnebachseehütte is an alpine club hut of the Hof section of the German Alpine Club at 2362 meters above sea level on the Winnebachsee north of Gries in the Sulztal in the Stubai Alps .
history
The hut was built in 1901 by the Frankfurt / Oder Alpine Club Section.
After the Alpine Club was banned in the Soviet occupation zone after World War II, the shelter was empty and neglected. It was handed over to the PES by the victorious powers . On January 1, 1955, he transferred it to the Hof Alpine Club Section, which at that time was without a refuge.
Extensions took place in 1960, 1983 and 1986. A material ropeway with the possibility of luggage transport from the Winnebachhof is available. Another renovation with enlargement on the south side took place in 2015.
The DAV section Frankfurt / Oder was re-established in April 1992; a return of the shelter at Winnebachsee is not planned.
