The Numedalslågen with its 352 km one of the longest rivers in Norway . It has its origin in the Hardangervidda and flows from there through the Sæterdalen to Dagali , further into the Numedal to Kongsberg , forms the Labrofoss under several waterfalls and flows on to Larvik , where it flows into the North Sea ( Skagerrak ). The river has a catchment area of ​​5554 km².

The Numedalslågen is used for rafting wood. Above Hvittingfoss there are large abundance of salmon and sea ​​trout and each year the river ranks as Norway 's fourth best fishing river for salmon.
