Léa Salamé

Léa Salamé , born as Hala Salamé (born October 27, 1979 in Beirut ), is a French - Lebanese radio and television journalist .

Career

Léa Salamé left Lebanon at the age of five and grew up in Paris . She first studied law at Sciences Po in Paris. During her studies, she spent a year abroad at New York University , where she was injured in the 2001 attack on the World Trade Center . She graduated from Sciences Po in 2002 with a degree in journalism .

Salamé's journalistic career began in 2004 with political reporting at La Chaîne parlementaire / Public Sénat . Since 2007 she has hosted various regular programs on France 24 , including the news program Paris direct . Léa Salamé has hosted the talk show On n'est pas couché for several years on the television channel France 2 since 2014 . She conducts regular radio interviews with France Inter .

Your conversation in an interview with the then French President François Hollande caused a stir in April 2016. In the course of the television program Dialogues citoyens on France 2, Léa Salamé parried a remark by the President about migration policy by asking whether Hollande's statement was a joke ( “C'est une plaisanterie?” ).
