In July 2012 Westermann signed a three-year contract with the Serbian first division club KK Partizan Belgrade . In 2013 and 2014 Westermann was Serbian champion with Partizan Belgrade. In 2013, the Adriatic Basketball League was also won. However, he tore a cruciate ligament in November 2013 , the second of his career, and was no longer used in the 2013/14 season.

In July 2014 he moved to the Spanish first division club FC Barcelona . However, he was immediately loaned to the French champions Limoges CSP for a year . In Moscow he experienced a season that was marked by a hip injury, in which he won the national championship title with the team. In the summer break of 2018, ZSKA used a contractual clause to terminate the employment relationship. Before the start of the 2018/19 game year, Westermann returned to Kaunas and became Lithuanian champion again.

During the 2019 summer break, the Frenchman was signed by Fenerbahçe Istanbul .

National team

In the summer of 2012, Westermann spent a few days preparing the French national team for the 2012 Olympic Games . He made his international debut on July 7, 2012 in the friendly against Great Britain . In preparation for the 2013 European Championship , Westermann also took part in a number of friendly games, but did not make it into the EM squad.
