Léon-Auguste-Marie-Joseph Durand (born July 27, 1878 in Oran , † March 20, 1945 ibid) was a Roman Catholic bishop of Oran .

Life

Léon-Auguste-Marie-Joseph Durand was ordained a priest on March 29, 1902 . Pope Benedict XV appointed him on January 10, 1919 titular bishop of Etalonia and auxiliary bishop in Marseille and on March 10, 1919 titular bishop of Tricomia .

The Archbishop of Lyon-Vienne , Louis-Joseph Cardinal Maurin , donated him episcopal ordination on May 3 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Dominique Castellan , Archbishop of Chambéry , and Frédéric-Henri Oury , Senior Archbishop of Algiers .

The Pope appointed him Bishop of Oran on October 11, 1920.
