The Lê Quý Đôn is a sailing training ship of the Vietnamese Navy .

General

The ship was built in 2013 at the Danzig shipyard Marine Projects Ltd. commissioned and launched in June 2015 . On September 27, 2015, the Lê Quý Đôn started with a Polish-Vietnamese crew on her maiden voyage to Nha Trang , the future home port and headquarters of the Naval Academy .

The ship is named after the Vietnamese scholar, poet and philosopher Lê Quý Đôn (1726–1784). The Auxiliarsegler has a steel hull and a Bark rigged. The sail area is 1400 m². With a crew of 30 men and 80 cadets , the sea ​​endurance is given as 45 days.
