Löwenberg ( Danish : Løvebjerg ) is a Flensburg area east of Adelbylund , on the southern edge of Adelby .

background

In the 18th century or earlier, the Löwenberg parcel was abandoned by the Groß Adelbylund farm . The field name Löwenberg has been handed down since 1797. Löwenberg was evidently synonymous with Löwenberger Lücke or Löwenberglück. Löwenberg later became known as the location of a small nursery . The aforementioned nursery was set up in 1891 by Nicolaus Jacobsen on the corner of Adelbylund / Ringstrasse ( Lage ). In 1896 he founded a seed shop in downtown Flensburg , on Rote Straße . In the same year Friedrich Busch bought the Löwenberg nursery. Busch was apparently shortly afterwards tooAdelby Cemetery Administrator . (When Busch died on May 5, 1946, the nursery was continued by his son Hans Friedrich and his son-in-law Julius Petersen († 1965).) In 1906, the municipality of Tarup included the districts of Adelby, Groß Tarup, Klein Tarup, Kreuz and Meierhof, also the Löwenberg district . In 1910 the Adelby primary school, which is still located there, was built in 1910, east of the nursery, on the pastor's paddock.

On today's maps, the school location and the adjoining, almost undeveloped area on the Ringstrasse , which belongs to the Tarup district, also belong to the Löwenberg area. In 1997 the street "Auf dem Löwenberg" ( location ) in the western part of the Löwenberg area received its official name. The east bypass was built around the year 2000 , which has since separated Löwenberg into two parts. The architecturally simple house of the Löwenberg nursery, which was later called the Petersen nursery, remained intact until the 2000s despite renovations. In 2013 the nursery building, which apparently finally housed a driving school called "Günther's Driving School", was finally demolished. In 2014, on the former grounds of the Löwenberg nursery, at Ringstrasse 2, a day nursery was set up by the thanks Skoleforening for Sydslewig eV . Even today, the slightly hilly Löwenberger area, which stretches towards Sünderup, is largely undeveloped.

Individual evidence

  1. The local advisory board existed from 1970 to 1994. It was supposed to represent the interests of Sünderup and Tarup in the Flensburg council assembly. See Flensburg heads. Peter Erichsen (Peter Ei) , from April 30, 2014; accessed on November 11, 2018
