The Lützelmurg is a 16 km long left tributary of the Murg in the Swiss canton of Thurgau . It drains an area of ​​43.4 square kilometers in the Münchwilen and Frauenfeld districts .

The Lützelmurg is created by the confluence of the Gampftobelbach and Schuelbach at 591  m above sea level. M. above the district of Bichelsee in the municipality of Bichelsee-Balterswil and flows first in a northerly direction. In Bichselsee it takes up the Seebach, which rises in the Bichelsee, and now flows southeast to the confluence of the Itaslerbach near Balterswil , where it curves to the northwest. It now flows past Ifwil , Guntershausen and the Tänikon monastery to Aadorf . The Lützelmurg flows around the settlement area and now crosses a wooded area mainly in a north-easterly direction until it finally flows into the Murg at Matzingen .
