Lœuilly ( Picard : Leuilly ; also Louville ) is a commune Déléguée in the northern French municipality Ô-de-Selle with 831 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France .
geography
The flood-prone Commune déléguée is located around 15 kilometers south of Amiens and four kilometers north of Conty on the Selle , which is split into several arms , extends in the west into the Bois de Wailly and is bounded in the east by the A16 autoroute . The municipality had a stop on the dismantled and used as a hiking trail La Coulée Verte railway line from Amiens to Beauvais .
history
The municipality was already settled in Gallo-Roman times.
In 1472 the castle was destroyed by the troops of Charles the Bold . In 1593 the village was set on fire by troops of the Holy League .
On January 1, 2019, the municipality of Lœuilly merged with Neuville-lès-Lœuilly and Tilloy-lès-Conty to form the Commune nouvelle Ô-de-Selle. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Lœuilly belonged to the Arrondissement of Amiens and the canton of Ailly-sur-Noye .
