The Dixence is a 12-kilometer left tributary of the Borgne in the Valais Alps in the Swiss canton of Valais .
It rises from the Lac des Dix , a reservoir with the Grande Dixence dam , which is fed by numerous mountain streams. After about 12 kilometers the torrent flows into the Borgne , which later flows into the Rhone .
The upper part of its valley is the Val des Dix , the lower part is the Val d'Hérémence .
