The La Favorite (Q 195) was a French submarine of L'Aurore class . After the French surrender in June 1940, the boat under construction fell into the hands of the German Navy . The submarine was renamed UF 2 on May 13, 1941 . The La Favorite / UF 2 was completed and officially put into service on November 5, 1942 as the first submarine of the L'Aurore class . The Navy used the submarine in the Baltic Sea as a training boat .

The La Favorite / UF 2 sank on July 5, 1944. The last German commandant was First Lieutenant Heinrich Gehrken. The submarine was scrapped in Gotenhafen in 1945 .
